2019 Open Championship; A shore thing for Portrush?

It’s the world’s biggest golf tournament. The one millions are glued to around the globe: the mightiest major of all. And it’s heading, once again, to the coastal shores of Northern Ireland.

Royal Portrush is ready and waiting.

The infrastructure in and around the North Coast will also be ready. With a little investment to make sure this little corner of the world can accommodate the thousands of fans expected to descend upon these tiny seaside towns looking for a slice of the action.

When you think of the millions generated in income for the tourism industry and the economy in general - it’s worth every shot, putt, birdie and bogey.

Famous trio fundamental in securing event

Rory McIIroy, Darren Clarke and Graeme McDowell have all been crucial in putting Northern Ireland firmly and beautifully on the map. These three major champions are part of the reason why everyone wants to come here, to see if there’s some sort of hocus pocus that can magically enhance their own game. People are intrigued, they want to know just what is it that’s so special about golf in Northern Ireland.

Because it is special.

It just is.

And Northern Ireland is no stranger to hosting big events - with over 100,000 attending the Open in 2012.

We’ll be ready for 2019.

So the question is…will you?

Give us a call or email at Irish Golf Breaks and we’ll put together a great deal for you, to make sure you don’t miss a thing.
